Schomburgkia Lueddemanniana, now known as Myrmecophila, owes its name to the term myrmecophile, underscoring a symbiotic bond with ant colonies residing within its spacious, hollow pseudobulbs. This species yields brown flowers with a texture reminiscent of an octopus. Flowers are notable for their exceptionally long spikes. As with other Schomburgkia species, blooms emerge aerially. The flowers, waxy in texture, display a vibrant golden orange/rust coloration.Shipping:
